Hi out there to all of you readers who are interested in healthy living. Perhaps you’re overweight and just starting your journey to a new self or maybe you’re really active and fit already. My blog will have something for everyone.
I’m going to take you through my life. I’m a 29 year old female living and working in the amazing city of Boston. I’m currently the Director of Alumni & Parent Relations at The Boston Conservatory, work part time in retail at White House | Black Market and freelance as a photographer, graphic designer, flutist and vocalist. Needless to say, I like to stay busy!
In the midst of all of my work and artistic endeavors I keep my life as active and healthy as possible. I try and go to the gym at least four if not five times a week and make sure that I’m eating healthy or within an alloted amount of calories for the day.
I should start by saying that I was almost 300 pounds about two years ago. It’s been an interesting journey and I would say that I’ve definitely gone through a lifestyle change. I think about food different and approach exercising much differently as well.
This blog is going to take a look at my successes, my struggles and my daily activity. I’m currently still 60-70 pounds away from my goal weight. I’m working on getting to that goal through exercise and healthy eating. When I first starting this adventure I was very limited in the things I would allow myself to eat. Now that I’ve been doing it for awhile I’m enjoying trying out different health recipes, which I’ll share here.
